I feel ya on KRIT but the rest of them cats you named really aren't that dope. . The have "swag" and the kids think they "cool"

But lets be real cats like "Wiz" & "Asap" aren't really rapping bout nothing. I got money, we getting drunk and high, I got your girl over here... Its like the keep making the same songs over & over again to a different beat.

I like cats like Kendrick Lamar, KRIT, J. Cole and few others who actually have some messages and can tell stories. I like some "party" songs and some "trap" songs but to me those rappers don't compare to the Pac, Big, Jay-Z who could make street song, party songs, and songs with messages

lol...man, if you try to make sense out of what ppl post about in the Spot, you'll drive yourself nuts. There's only a few posters that you can actually take seriously. Most of 'em are just trolling/stanning. Lately, the only reason I ventured into that section was for laughs.

Yea I noticed only a few ppl over there have a lil sense. The trolling is out of control but funny as hell for sure. I really didn't catch on to the trolling thing until Lil B came out.....now that shyt there actually had me confused for a few months

Ya Kendrick and Cole can actually make good music. I don't really mess with the party stuff all like that. You are right, Wiz and ASAP don't talk about anything at all really, but unless it's some underground music, who is really rapping about anything? These rappers now days couldn't stay on subject to save their life except for a very few. Hiphop now is nothing more than random thoughts that rhyme over repetive drum loops, but the ones I named and a couple more are still entertaining even though they can't really make "music"

I like asaps music it has a certain atmosphere to it like it almost sucks you in. wiz on the other hand is somehow getting more and more simple. To answer your question pac and big got a little overrated when they died but they switched between messages and bullshyt more often than not(pac alot less but still). no doubt they had impact though are I consider them legends in the game in still. But overall I think has more to do with how the artist is good at being a artist. a bullshyt song can be cool if the beat and the artist are doing something different in the process(like delivering it in a new way)

Honestly I can't pinpoint exactly what is is about ASAP but I dig his music. Kush&OJ Wiz is the music I like from him. Pac and BIG are definitely legends, and two of the GOATs, but overrated for sure

I never thought I would put a rapper of today over legends either, but it happens. Dead rappers who don't rap cannot evolve, or rap in the present day, so we end up feelin the current shyt cuz that's where we are!

Exactly! Some of their music is timeless, but music has evolved so much since then. That doesn't necessarily mean that the music got better per say, but things have changed. Guess some will always be stuck in the 90s

A lil green does help you focus on what he sayin and get over his voice. If anybody can listen to Mind of a Maniac and not feel it, they ain't a fan of hiphop
