I've noticed that as I get older, the more I grow apart from my childhood friends. Back when we were kids, everybody had something in common...play sports, go to school together, like to hit up the mall, etc, etc..really simple. But now, when you introduce family/jobs, limited time and the fact that everybody has chosen their path in life...you realize that those paths get further and further apart. I'm currently only really cool with 1 friend that I grew up with. Everybody else is on a whole 'nother' wave length...we really don't have that much in common anymore. Honestly, I don't really want to be friends with someone unless they are intelligent, have good energy, trying to grow as a person and are cool as fukk. That eliminates 99% of the population off the bat. I only have 3 friends not including my brother. I am very careful who I hang around, because friends play a huge role in shaping/influencing your future, demeanor and how you carry yourself in day-to-day life.
