Its true.... this is like a month long event that should be read and written in stone.......I'll try and I know some can do it better, some of the events may be off the timeline.....reads like a mythological tale.............

Late March/Early April 2011..........the story goes, how there was a rift in the sohh nation, where the owners and moderators were being unresponsive to the will of the people. Plus, the increasing number of site crashes. One day, in a particular thread, a poster(s) mentioned something about creating a new website or place to go as a refuge from the politics of sohh, but also just a place to meet up if another crash, like safe place you tell your loved ones to meetup at during an emergency :laugh:. The call to action was taken, and within a few days? a week or two?... the promotion of this sohh-esque site was being heralded in many sohh threads, and there was a small number of early adopters.....

The April Disciples that set up shop on this new site, the-coli., sending back message to their brehs on sohh about this bountiful website of freedom and where embedding of pictures was easy and possible ... :wow:

The May Disciples: The word spread quickly throughout sohh, and the moderators and owners tried to casually limit the talk of this site, as the dual citizens of sohh and coli were creating much pain telling sohh owners/moderators about themselves. Things got ugly....................... the entire website name "the-coli" was "********", banned from sohh completely. The catapults of displeasure and protests grew in sohh nation, with some migrants keeping their dual citizenship and other completely abandoning and closing their sohh accounts. Chaos insued, other hip hop websites got word of the civil strife, many of their members joined the-coli. Yet one of the biggest events of May were those hundreds maybe low thousands who were never permitted to join in the excellence that was sohh, being able to actually engage on the-coli without a company type email. They had spent hours reading and laughing at sohh posters and threads, but limited to only watching :to:.....they could now interact with those that brought them fukkery and overall essence of sohh :banderas: This stew of posters from across the hip hop web grew, and within literally weeks, the threads of sohh began to stagnate........LITERALLY..... as in threads would be on the same page for days with no response. The threads of gifs symbolizing the Titanic fall of sohh from the the-coli iceberg were epic events, that can be seen in the Rafters forum.

The June Disciples: By this time sohh was literally running on fumes of posters, they offered white doves of peace, and said how they would change. The major event here was a letter from the owners of sohh explaining issues about why things had happened they way they had. This was interesting because one of the owners had never sent out a letter to posters in over 7 or 8 years or so. The-coli continued a meteoric rise, while sohh was still static. A few dual citizens maintained on both websites, but the threads by then were absent of the energy seen weeks prior...it had been transferred to the-coli...................This was somewhat bittersweet as it was mentioned how sohh was the forerunner of hip hop websites, going back over a decade, but it's time was up. ....... sohh's forums died completely months later :rip:

Today: According to Complex Magazine in 2013, thecoli is a top 10 hip hop forum, and the youngest one on that list. :krs:

Thus, let the celebrations begin .................. :shaq:

The last time I checked the front page of SOHH there were gay porn spammers in the content section of the articles. I fail to see how they make any money from that site anymore considering they never have original content...and the original content they do is just absolutely terrible.

THE EXODUS....the last days of SOHH/projectcovo...

It was like the Titanic sinking into the ocean....just watching pages of day old threads turn into a front page with 8 threads on it that hadn't been updated in weeks/months...

When the Under construction page came up...it was over.

This was the greatest thread of SOHH history (for me)....everytime I walk down the street and see a matress being thrown out I can't help but think of this thread.

the ether was just too much for one thread!!!!!
