As someone who was born in 1991, and admittedly didn't become an avid sports watcher till around 2002, I can't speak on much before 1999. What are popular sports opinions/fallacies today that didn't exist back when the original players were playing.

The biggest i've seen on here, is the thought that the NFL was always #1.....its just a bold faced lie and even when logic shows that its false, nfl films fools people into thinking that it was the king sport in the 70s and 80s....just wrong.

I mean I know the Steelers Broncos game was the highest rated wild card game in 24 years....I mean logic kind of dictates the NFL was putting up big time numbers then too.
