GOAT way to cook Brussels:
Edit: that recipe isn't how I do it:
Cook bacon, drain grease, keep to side
Clean and halve BS
Toss BS in bacon grease
Season
Cook on foil wrapped cookie sheet until tender with some crunchy leaves, almost slightly charred. About 20 minutes or so.
Add bacon grease to skillet and bring to a medium high heat (leaning to the hotter side), add garlic and onion until they melt a bit
Add BS and brown them, add bacon and maple syrup, cook until desired doneness/crunch..
Wife hated them as a kid and loves these, ereyone in the house eats em...
