best case scenario for me broncos win 25 - 22... i win the under and i cover ats... but thats the only situation in which i can win lol
Never thought I'd get here but I am....I lost so much money this weekend that I'm done gambling.
I was doing well then a bad friday turned into a chase Saturday & Sunday.....
I simply lost my head & lost control for the first time in my life. I was a profitable gambler for the last 2 years but this weekend buried me in a way I could never imagine.
Normally I have control but when you're betting on Credit (someone else's money) it's easy to lose sight of what's yours. If I was betting on 5 dimes or just with my money I would have never lost this much. In the grand scheme of things the $2000 I lost isn't insurmountable but it is a grip of money.....I should have never lost it in 2 days. Anyways, it is what it is. When you take hits like this, you always want to throw a big parlay together and hope it hits but I'm done. The time and bankroll it takes to be a profitable gambler, I just don't have....So I'm calling it quits.

we've all been there
ive lost 4,000 in one night before
which is why i just deposit 20 now and work my way up, if i winif i get it up to 500 and lose
just 20 in my mind
vegas always wins
Sheesh....Damn that's rough.
Yeah this credit thing killed me because I'm betting with money on a screen that's mine that I didn't deposit. I had a 3,000 credit line too. When I was on 5 dimes or betting in person I was either conscious that if I lose this I have to deposit more or I was pulling money out of my bank account. With credit it's like coli cash that you have to pay. I called my bookie right away and he's allowing me to work out a payment plan. Not going to stiff him. I believe in integrity and owning up to your mistakes.
To be honest I was playing with fire for a long while. I've had 3-4 digit swings off 1 game and in the past I've always won them (that chargers-broncos game from the playoffs for example).......this weekend I happened to lose them. It's tough to learn from your mistakes if you get a slap on the wrist, you get by or you win. I was due and deserved it.
The whole last 2 years of gambling has been one of the biggest learning experiences for me. Definitely gonna carry these lessons forever. I've learned money management, putting my losses behind me, knowing that it's never too late to fix your mistakes, you don't have to get it all back at one time. I've bought some great things from gambling, from big screen TVs to NBA 100 level finals tickets....but yeah I gotta spend more time focusing on my music and my career.
One of the stupidest things I've ever done....I remember I paid a tout just being ignorant to the business and wanted to see how people come up with their picks, while he started off hot and was hitting everything he fizzled out and eventually I think he only hit 51% of his bets long term. I think over time my 55% that I was hitting was saving me from the tout's picks. It was terrible. Good thing I never paid him too much./
yea, Ill never bet on credit. I just got my first credit card a couple months ago and the shyt is already maxed out. Luckily through gambling and other side hustles Im doing Ill have more than enough to pay it out, but it does put things into perspective. I just swipe and swipe this shyt b/c I never realize that its my money Im spending and I trick myself into thinking I'll pay it later. Matter of fact this past thursday I was in the bar just buying the fukk outta the bar for random muhfukkas I barely knew, just drunk as fukk doing dumb shyt. I woke up in the hospital that next morning not knowing what the fukk happened or where I was.
After that kendrick lamar debacle, Im pretty much done with the gambling for the most part. I was so tempted to put money on my shyt and play the Broncos and thank goodness I had the better judgement and didn't. The thing with gambling that really fukks you is when you lose and your in a rut. The whole just getting dug deeper and deeper and you start second guessing and not trusting yourself. Sounds like you learned alot and not trying to trivialize your loss but thankfully it was only a couple thousand, that should be repayable in a decent amount of time and you'll be set back on track.
one of my dumbest bets ever was 2,500 ml on the lakers paying 300 to beat milwaukee bucks
ill never forget that game
http://espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=301221013
i thought this was sure frigging money, lakers were on a winning streak everything was going good, sad ass milwaukee
that changed my whole outlook on betting
I learned never to bet on huge moneylines like that ever again straight up once when I put $400 on the Gators to beat Georgia in college basketball. Goddamn that was painful. That was my first big L in sportsbetting.
