@TUA TAGOVAILOA Hmmmm I'm not sure I agree with the way they are allocating athletes. I didn't know that's how teams were being created. Is there a reason why players can't pick/tryout for their own destination straight out the gate? Is this a way to build a steady player pool first and something they're going to do away with in the future?

The hell is Maryland doing in the Birmingham pool and not Atlanta or Memphis?

Yea it's not perfect with so few teams to spread all the college teams to but that should fix itself as they add more teams. I like it better than an original draft, it gives a regional feel to all the teams. And it's not been announced whether or not they will continue with this or just go with a basic Free agency from here on out. Hopefully they keep it somewhat regional though and give the teams dibs on the college teams in their area. They were trying to make it even talent wise somewhat too, that's why LSU isn't Birmingham, etc

It would be unfair to Salt Lake and Arizona especially if they kept the regional allocation thing going. They'll probably just have a basic free agency from here on out. I'm guessing they're hoping most of the rosters remain full from season to season with the 3 year contracts they gave everyone

Memphis and Atlanta already have teams. They don't wanna see hometown talent playing for somebody else. At least not yet

The Lions announced the signing of quarterback Mike Reilly to a four-year, $2.9-million deal (average annual value $725,000) shortly after the free-agent period began at noon EST on Tuesday. Reilly was the CFL’s highest-paid player last year at over $500,000 with the Eskimos.

i know people laugh at the cfl, but no where else beside the nfl can you make that much money playing football
