We don't need to lose sleep, but we have to make tough decisions, per usual. There's a myriad of different locks that can be bought on Amazon that'll essentially lock you in and make it impossible for any intruder to make entry once you secure it from the inside. From chains to deadbolts that can be installed with wood screws and a Phillips head.

Worst case scenario, your shyt starts on fire. You definitely don't want to be fumbling with locks at that time. And if you got little kids it's a very significant risk.

Always remember: Police are allowed to panic under pressure and kill civilians, but untrained civilians being screamed at with guns in their faces are expected to remain calm and compliant. If they make as much as "furtive movements" they can be legally executed by the state.
