Yo I'm seeing some of these comments on here from brehs actin like Kahn just got caught with a hell of a punch...nah, Canelos skill set that whole shyt up...beginning two rounds earlier....Kahn got knocked out because he realized shyt was goin bad, the power was incredible...and he was shook.
No... He caught him while he slowed down. nikka lost at least 4 rounds.

Berto even confirmed the last comment recently. He said they don't even let Golovkin hit to the head in sparring anymore. And if Canelo did so good, let the fight commence....Canelo is the lineal 160lb middleweight champion with Golovkin as a mandatory next opponent.

Maidana was not knocking dudes head off either so what's your point ? Sparring is supposed to be a learning and prepping stage. Not a real fight

I need a @Yuzo breakdown on this:banderas:

watching the slow mo replay. before it even landed khan knew 100% that he just fukked up badly. he didn't even bother finishing his jab, dude literally tried to run away as the punch was being thrown. it's like when you bout to be in a car accident. you see it coming, and all you can do is take that shyt and hope for the best.:francis:

i think he was actually in the process of trying to throw a check hook. thats why his arm came around that way as he was going down to the canvas.

here is what happened. khan threw a jab. canelo slipped the jab through the space that he has next to his right ear and over his right shoulder and threw a counter right hand over it in the same motion. khan saw a right hand and started the process of throwing a check hook over it instead of bringing the jab back.

when you throw a check hook over a right hand you must make sure that you have created seperation. this is what khan was supposed to try to do here.

heres michael spinks throwing a jab and creating a counter right hand and then coming over the counter right hand that he just created with a check hook. this is everything that just happened with khan and canelo but with one big difference. spinks waited to bring the jab back and created seperation. thats why khan ran into the right hand that he created with his jab and thats why spinks countered the right hand that he created with his jab.

you use your jab to do damage but you use your jab to create slipping and countering too. when you can use your jab to create the reactions that you want to create you understand the way that boxing actually works. khan is someone that has always wanted to throw an extra punch even when he probably shouldnt have. he always was in a rush to throw just one more punch. maybe that comes from amateur boxing and the amateur boxing points system. but thats not the way that boxing actually works.

Perfect breakdown & gif selection as usual:obama:

How long was your line ?
We can have different opinions and I'm baffled that it can be seen any other way.

Amir Kahn landed a couple of very clean shots early in the fight. A jab to the body and a one-two upstairs. .

Khan landed another jab to the body after that but meanwhile Canelo found the range to the body and was timing the left hook. Alvarez would eventually catch Amir clean with Amir rushing in. Canelo landed another left hook while leaping in, after Amir landed to the body once more.

Amir ran the rest of the first round and Canelo began to find the range with the right hand to the body from distance. The same right to the body that he would eventually feint to win the fight.

Im a fan of Canelo but the breh got exposed

Great KO but he really did look wild

Khan shoulda known he was setting up for a big right the entire fight.. If he hadn't of slowed down and had a chin :damn:

He still would have lost :martin: looking at the judges scorecards prior to the KO it looks like they woulda fukked Khan over regardless :martin:
