That was a strategic decision by Virgil. He believes Canelo is the reason that GGG is still even at 160. By encouraging Canelo to fight GGG, he is securing an opponent for Andre Ward. 2-3 is feasible, but he didn't do anything in the second round to me, Canelo landed more punches and was the aggressor even though the punch total was close.

He chased Khan the whole fight and landed heavy body shots, he gave him punishment every around, Khan never gave him any punishment, and lot of his punches scored where glazing blows at best

Canelo is an amazing boxer, his skill will carry him past 97g. Brook still has a lot to prove, but I don't think amir will ever be a love body at 147 again. His chin is gonna be glass joe status when he drops beck down in weight

I don't see it. It'll be a good fight but Canelo has been dropped by Golovkin in sparring already. Look at the dudes he faced already tonight and the power they had...He said after each fight that he let them get off shots so he can extend those fights.

I didn't know he got him during sparring, that's a mental advantage for g....but still that doesn't always tell the full story. I just saw a much more polished patient Canelo out there...more so than ever before. I think Canelo is turning that corner.
