I got a lady who works with me and she is afraid of the flu, so she takes the flu shot ever year and gets sick every year.
agree with everything but that last part.....1. Why would you be around a sick person when you are more vulnerable as a asthmatic?
2. The first signs of us feeling sick means the cold virus has been in our system for 48 hours.
3. Anti-bacterial soup is not effective as they claimed. Plus bacteria is spread from not just hands but the surrounding area of the sick person. It comes out their pours.
4. What enhanced your sickness was the sports-bar. How many people were sick in the place you didn't know could make it worse. On top of the unclean hands of the people preparing your drinks and food.
5. Eating a salad and taking a vitamin doesn't change anything about preventive measure from sickness.
6. Airborn doesn't work. Zinc works but not by itself.
Stuff that can ease the cough is Sambucus( Black Elderberry) and Clear Lungs. Take it from me who was asthmatic....shyt works homie. So the thing is to prepare your immune system for cold weather and season is to have lots of Vitamin C( not orange juice), Eat mad greens, get lots more sleep, stay away from alcohol.
Also another effective measure is to take Source Naturals "Wellness Formula"....nasty as fukk but works 100%. It knocks out first signs of colds every-time.
agree with everything but that last part.....
I'm not doubting it, I've just never looked into it per se, sohh I wouldn't out right endorse it for others...The Source Naturals? It's worked for me 100% of the time I was having the cold symptoms. It may not be 100% all around for everyone was for me.

Who uses sick hours when they're sick breh? That's a waste of vacation time..I don't take flu shots. Just got over the flu recently. Was sick for about 2 days. Pretty sure i got it from a co-worker because it seemed as if everyone was getting sick. I don't understand why folks come to work when they're sick. You have sick hours for a reason. USE IT!
I would NOT get the flu shot this year brehs. I work in an ER and I've seen a TON of flu cases this year already. Easily the worst flu in a while. However, DONT listen to the media encouraging you to RUN RIGHT NOW and get a FLU SHOT. Its bullshyt. I can honestly say that over HALF of the patient that were diagnosed with the flu in the ER so far GOT THEIR FLU SHOT and got sick anyways. I'm certain the folks that make the flu vaccine were WAY off in their prediction for which flu antigen to create this year.
The BEST way to prevent against flu is the following:
1. Eat a lot of healthy greens and fruits to boost your immune system. I recommend large amounts leafy green vegetables like Kale, Spinach, Broccli, etc. Citrus fruits like oranges, lenom, limes, are also good choices.
2. WASH YOUR fukkING HANDS. If you're around a large group of people and your constantly shaking hands or dapping up, be sure to wash you hands regularly as fomites are the most COMMON way flu is being transmitted. Consider keep antibacterial ointment on your person if a sink is not nearby.
3. Drink plenty of fluids. Not being dehydrated does wonders for you immune system.
4. Consider taking a multivitamin if your not getting good amounts of green vegetables.
5. If you do feel yourself coming on with a cold consider drinking lots of Echinacea tea, Zinc pills, and Vitamin C. These items are well known immune boosters, and can decrease you symptom duration significantly.
6. If you still feel like shyt despite all this. Go to an URGENT CARE or an ER (Urgent care if you want to save money). You might have pneumonia or need TAMIFLU. But again, this should be a last resort.
EDIT: This assumes your a healthy person with no medical problems. If you are ill or have a weakened immune system, talk to you doctor before following any advice brehs..
Here's a good example of why not to get a flu shot.
