Nike isn't a luxury Brand, that comparison doesn't actually make sense. Nike sends it overstock to discount outlets all the time.

Gucci destroys all of their overstock to maintain exclusivity and high prices. You can't find Gucci at payless. But if people are were now able to pick up Gucci loafers at your local salvation army for $15 it would hurt their pricing model and bottomline.
you sure you know what you talking about.. :patrice:

Nike also burns unsold merchandise.. and, Gucci has bags at Marshalls..

the article you posted about Gucci bags says this :Our research indicates that one way for in-season Gucci bags, for instance, to land in T.J. Maxx stores is if T.J. Maxx buyers source them from the brand's authorized stockists. Such purchases may come from Nordstrom

It also says that these Brands :goes to great lengths to avoid selling off old garments and accessories at discounted prices

Gucci doesn't want their bags at Marshalls or T.J. Maxx for the reasons i was explaining. Those companies are using loopholes by purchasing out of season garments from third parties, in order to have Gucci products in their stores at discounted prices.

So this article is basically proof that donating your Gucci hurts their price model like i was saying.

you asserted they didnt sell those items, and burn ALL their overstock.. who cares how they get there.. that wasnt what you insinuated..

also, Nike burns overstock.. so, your comparisons were just off.. damn.. yall cats love to argue, even in the face of being dead ass wrong.. :dead:

ok breh fine, my point was to put more of their products at these places because they don't want them there because of how it effects their pricing model. Ya'll randomly brought up Nike then preceded to argue about it. I will concede your victory in that random side point you made for no reason, my original point still stands.
