Floyd couldn't ko Marquez, isn't that the same?
I think he could of that fight was all you need alone if you expressed the belief that Floyd pulls off at times, he carried JMM.....

That fight was about rounds, Floyd was coming off a 2 1/2 year retirement

IDK about blown up JMM has been weighing 147 his whole career just as Manny has, they have been playing scale games for years staying away from the brothers now that the coast is clear with little AA talent then they move up

JMM beat one boxings best WW's, that is in boxing history books brehs, he knocked him out cold, I thought the lil nikka was dead, so is he still a blown up fighter how come I didnt hear Manny got knocked comatose from a blown up fw...........

SN: Whoever thought JMM looked horrible at WW vs Floyd simply didnt analyze the fight, JMM hit Floyd with his money punch over and over, Floyd wanted no parts of a trench fight with the lil guy because of how quick and accurate he was.......Contrary to JMM 2nd campaign at WW, he was bulky as as fukk, robotic, and lost everything that made JMM great his combination punching and accuracy

He's the only person I've ever seen hit Floyd with that many flush shots....the round Floyd dropped him, JMM was winning that round with, hit Floyd with a number of flush shots.

I can see Maidana getting stopped. He's going to have to bring his "A" game to get a stoppage. This is going to be a great fight regardless.

Hold on...what are you talking about? Floyd fought on the inside against Marquez plenty that fight, ESP down the stretch. He kept his distance because of his speed, but when they did get on the inside, Floyd was tagging him. Floyd smothered him a lot on the inside too.

That many flush shots? I need to check the punch count because I do not recall seeing Marquez have that high of a connect percentage in that fight. WTF is up with the revisionist thinking up in here? wtf. shyt Demarcus Corley hit Floyd flush more times than fukking Marquez :what:

It was nothing that hurt Floyd, But he was hitting him with some flush shots, especially early on. But then again it's Floyd so when he gets hit with a clean shot we make more of a deal of it because we don't see it often.

Mine and Whatever Concerns me
floyd trynna convince those last few ticket purchases...... :ehh:

I came in here to say this. Especially with all this late controversy. Maybe they gauge public perception via social media, advanced ticket sales from other venues, including MGM....and everything just isn't adding up like the past. And it doesn't seem to be because of Chino, they may feel its a slight disinterest in Floyd himself. What does this mean? Maidana is gonna get his god damn ass whooped. Dude is a sacrificial lamb for a super Floyd performance so people start talking again....

or maybe not, what do I know? :manny:

Possible, very possible. I know a LOT of people were disappointed with the Canelo/Floyd fight as let's face it..........if you're just a casual fan at best, then that fight was likely boring to you. Take into account the cost of $75.00, not only were you bored, you were probably pissed too. The old saying about Fool me once, fool me twice comes to mind. People who felt duped after the Canelo fight are probably hesitant to purchase this card. Personally I really think this should have been televised on Showtime, or CBS. Make the event a sacrificial lamb for the sake of the sport.

To be honest, I find it hard to believe Floyd is stopping anybody nowadays. After every fight he talks about how they were looking for the knockout but....but...but.... He could have taken out Ghost in round 8, had a chance to take out Cotto in the 12th, but he didn't because quite frankly, he's incapable. Either due to brittle hands, or his power just isn't there. That's not to discredit his power either as it's enough to wear a fighter down and make them leary coming in, but it's not enough to drop somebody in 2014. That's another reason why the bolded makes some sense to me as a possibility. Floyd's fights have developed a reputation as being boring to casual fans who make up a good percentage of those that purchase as something to do on a Saturday night. Floyd needs to really whoop somebody's azz to make these same people come off the fence in the future and purchase PPVs, especially after his last three fights. I'm sure a whole lot of people purchased in the past just to see Floyd lose, and when that didn't happen three times in a row, with the last guy supposedly being the next big thing and Floyd made him look like an amateur, it makes sense why folks are hesitant to purchase.
