its all just part of my usual berto bashing breh :myman:

but i dont agree with berto-collazo being a FOTY....that fight left a really bad taste in my mouth seeing luis getting jobbed :scust:

The Berto/Collazo decision wasn't that bad. It was a close ass fight. Definitely deserved a rematch.

Lemme ask you this though.

Cats were quick to praise one-sided ass LM/Molina as a FOTY candidate, but do you think that fight was more entertaining than Berto/Collazo (regardless of the outcome)

FLOYD MAYWEATHER "100% SERIOUS" ABOUT FIGHTING ANDRE BERTO OR KARIM MAYFIELD; WANTS PORTER VS. BRONER 2 ON UNDERCARD
By Ben Thompson | June 23, 2015

BT: Last week, you mentioned two names that you're currently considering as your opponent in September: Andre Berto and Karim Mayfield. For whatever reason, some people thought you might be joking, so just to clarify, you were serious, right?

FM: Absolutely! 100% serious! I think when it's all said and done, people are just going to really miss Floyd Mayweather.

BT: Judging from your comments over the weekend, it sounds like you're hoping to put together a stacked card for that final fight of your contract.

FM: Well, you know, we're looking forward to Keith Thurman fighting Errol Spence on my undercard in September. Me and Errol Spence already communicated. He wants to fight Keith Thurman first and then he wants to fight Shawn Porter next. He said he's young and he's hungry and he wants to prove himself. With that performance Saturday night, I think he got them boys kind of nervous, from what I hear. Errol Spence said it himself; he feels that Keith Thurman is scared. Keith Thurman, he's a solid competitor. I mean, he had a tougher time with Guerrero than I did, but he's a solid competitor. And of course, on that same undercard, we have to do the Broner and Shawn Porter part 2, the rematch.

BT: Even though your fighting career is coming to an end, your promotional career is starting to take it off. I saw quite a few celebrities in attendance for the first Mayweather Promotions card on NBC. As a whole, what did you think about the event?

FM: I think we had a great turnout. We had Justin Bieber, the MVP of the Finals, Iguodala; I mean, I'm happy with the turnout. Mayweather Promotions, we're still learning and we're still growing. We're not trying to outdo nobody. We just want to stay in our lane and continue to grow and continue to help fighters get to that next level. So all the fighters that are trying to go to the next level, we're trying to help you get to that level.

So, September 12th...if everything goes through...we can get:

Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs Andre Berto for WBC Welterweight Championship (WBO is gonna be stripped, because I seriously doubt Floyd gives up his WBA/WBC Junior Middleweight Championships)

Keith Thurman vs Errol Spence Jr for WBA Welterweight Championship (Floyd would most likely vacate that title so Errol Spence could potentially become the full fledged WBA Champion. Thurman is already "Regular Champion" and Floyd's "Super Champion" belt would also be up for grabs)

Shawn Porter vs Adrien Broner 2

:ohhh:

Ok cool. I can respect that.

I honestly think Herrera was robbed more against Swift, than Collazo was against Berto. Berto came back hard towards the end and he was able to stay more competitive throughout the fight than Danny was with Herrera.

I was more :mjlol: when Berto got dropped by Rivera and was struggling with Estrada than I was for the Collazo fight. Him having an action packed fight with Luis wasn't as bad as those 2 performances. Collazo was at least a notch above those guys.

Maybe he meant Berto-Mayfield like he fights them at the same time? Or they're standing on top of each other? Or it's berto n mayfield like conjoined twins? Does that count as 49 and 50 :ohhh:
