Andre is still on the Jordan Brand, he has that wholesome star quality around him but you aren't going to be a star fighting in fukking Oakland all your life where only Too $hort and E-40 can be live to your fights. Seriously though, if Jay fukks up with Andre, Roc Nation should get out of boxing but this is a slam dunk. Floyd is soon to retire, there will be a void that can be quickly filled by Ward.

No issue with this. Roc Nation trying to buy their way in.

He's right :manny:

AB would be the easy money for the promoter. Theyd have to work hard on Ward, and he already demands quite a high (unjustified? :troll:) pay day.

I go to Oakland all the time but I don't know if I'd want to be leaving a venue where fight atmosphere just took place :lupe:

I pretty much agree with what Floyd saying in the video.

In regards to Ward, I just don't think his fights are exciting enough to really make him a star. He seems like one of those guys that the casuals won't care about unless he's in a big fight against a dangerous opponent. I'm sure as long as he makes good money he won't care though.

Not everyone is destined to be a big star in this sport.

What if he signs Adrien Broner and fights him for his last fight :lupe: . . that would be a major boost to Broner's appeal.

Maybe do it for the 50th fight on network television as a pass the torch kinda thing

That TMT roster is trash but Floyd N ellerbe try their damnest to get them shine...so can't really hate on them as far as promotion goes

Jesse Vargas was getting a push from TMT before he left to TR too

Right. That's what im saying. As much shyt as we talk about these TMT fighters, it's not Floyd/Ellerbe's fault they aint taking off...Floyd always has them on his undercards and getting them title shots. They (Ishe, Bey, Jack, Love) all are known within the boxing community more than alot of TR/GB fighters.

Soon as Floyd gets a boxer with some personality, and some talent to back it up at least at a B level, he's going to take him straight to the top.

Ward just needs to fight someone like GGG or Kovalev, and he will become a star

Broner isn't the norm, because he's leaped frog his peers without beating anyone as far as marketability

he's a self promoter, ward isn't, so it's a no brainer why someone who sign him over ward

Honestly, Ward is my favorite fighter right now... when he actually fights. I can see what Floyd is saying. Broner isn't no where near as good as Ward in the ring (imo... and he could be one day) but he's a draw. Ward is a really good dude who isn't that controversial/out-spoken so he's not going to bring in as many fans off the bat except those who are true boxing heads

Someone like Cotto or GGG probably has an entire country supporting them.. not hard to sell fights. Same with Broner... he took a page out of Floyds book and basically promotes himself.

And people forget that when Floyd was young/humble, yeah he wasn't making no where near as much money or in the biggest fights. Once dude left Arum, took that heel turn and used his mouth outside the ring while his skills in it dude blew up. Ward isn't that type of guy tho.. but if marketed right then anything is possible i guess

If Ward was Mexican or Rican they would be throwing parades for him everytime he stepped outside. :francis: the same if he was a generic Eurocac too :francis:

If Ward was mexican they would already call him a legend (see Canelo Alverez for ex.)

:whoa:

Ward isnt the same as Canelo breh. Canelo would be a superstar no matter what race he was. His resume is amazing for a dude who's still not old enough to get in alot of clubs yet (he's only 24) :wow::

24 years old, already a 2x Champion; 44-1-1 with 31 wins coming via KO; 9-1 against Champions (Vazquez 2x, Baldomir, N'Dou, Cintron, Mosley, Trout, Mayweather, Angulo, Lara); currently ranked #1 by THE RING Magazine at Junior Middleweight

At the same age, SOG was only 18-0 with 10 KOs and was unranked by THE RING Magazine:manny:
