AB still gives anyone at 140 problems. :yeshrug:

his mix of power and speed will always be tough to handle and he is hard to put leather on nowadays :ehh:

but if he dont fight more aggressive he will never be a world champ again. he lost that porter fight off pure activity. :dyke7414:

Yea. After rewatching the foght w/o the influence of beer in me, I agree. He just wasn't aggressive enough. Porter was NOTHING special Saturday. Same thing w/the Madiana fight. I believe if he attacked a bit more he would have won that fight as well.

fight was ass.

porter threw a lot more punches and landed a lot more punches but AB got the cleaner shots in (the left hook mostly) :ehh:

porter didnt impress me just based on the fact most of his punches were either completely missing or barely even touching AB :why:

while adrien only threw 26 punches a round :snoop:

if porter had Ab's precision or if AB had porter's workrate the fight would have lived up to the hype :francis:

broner caught porter damn near everything he came up
if he followed it up with something other than holding he probably coulda won
he seemed real shook of porters punching power

And I dont know why. Porter isnt even a power puncher like that:snoop:

Nah, Porter can crack, it's just that his punching technique is so hit or miss. Every now and then (similar to Bradley) he'll throw some technically sound punches that can hurt you. It's just that you don't know when to expect them so I guess it kinda keeps boxers in check sometimes.

Porter got mad physical strength, but it doesn't often translate into real punching power. I thought he only landed a handful of good punches throughout the fight. Nowhere near the amount he landed on Alexander, Paulie, or Diaz in both fights.

I said this during the fight thread. AB did more to lose the fight than Porter did to win it.

I should've added in an * next to that statement, because I meant "Porter isnt even a power puncher like that in comparision to Maidana in MX gloves". Maidana seems to hit much harder, but if AB is gonna start keeping his hands in his pockets after getting caught once by someone with only good power now (not elite like Maidana, but just good...B level power like Porter brings), then Im in for a bumpy ride:snoop:

Nah, Freddie Roach trained Oscar De La Hoya against Floyd Mayweather Jr breh. IIRC, Sr wanted like 2 million to train ODLH for that fight and ODLH refused and went with Roach
Yeah but his father offered to train Oscar and would have for a bit more money. And if i remember correctly he was siding with Oscar before the fight in terms of his prediction.

Well, he was kinda right though breh....Floyd barely won (got a SD win) and also:

Judge Jerry Roth scored the last round for Mayweather, the only judge to do so. Had he scored the 12th for De La Hoya, the fight would have been a draw

http://boxrec.com/media/index.php/Oscar_De_La_Hoya_vs._Floyd_Mayweather_Jr.

So, he was that close to having a DRAW on his resume with ODLH:yeshrug:. Floyd got the nod, but ODLH with a brand new trainer still did well...we will never know how it would've played out with Floyd Sr, who knows all Floyd's secrets/techniques in the ring, leading ODLH:wow:
