i dont understand how maidana blantantly tried to come into the first fight with unpadded,, illegial gloves (when floyd gave him the option to pick any glove he wants) and now that floyd has taking that option away from him he's a bytch

i dont even hear too many people hating on maidana for trying to cheat

He THEN picked another pair which were deemed legal and approved....Floyd was scared and said no


Maidana then picked a THIRD pair of gloves, Reyes gloves, which were also deemed legal and were approved again by the NSAC in the locker room.....Floyd was scared and said no again to a totally different brand of gloves


NOW, Floyd is refusing out right to let him wear the Everlast MX brand gloves, the exact same brand that Cotto wore against Floyd

Even then, he turned down the Reyes gloves too and nothing was wrong with those either

MX gloves and Reyes gloves all have padding distributed in a way that you can feel the boxers knuckles through them, allowing you to do a little more damage. They are punchers gloves....alot of fighters wear them including Pacquiao, Cotto, JMM, and Khan.

Hopefully Floyd lets him wear the gloves he's comfortable in and fight Maidana at his absolute best.

No point fighting an opponent who's only chance of victory is via ko.....and handicap him by making him wear bigger "sparring gloves"
