WWE not happy and has no say inwhat FloSlam does because theyre silent partners. Cost of indy footage has skyrocketed according to Meltz

That makes no sense to me. If anything, it's the opposite. After this, who would pay $20 for a single show when they could get 10-15 shows, plus a backlog for $20? And when this thing crashes and burns, why would WWE offer the same amount of money when they could offer less and be the only option for these companies to get that kind of exposure?

They got WWN (Evolve, Shine, & FIP) & ROH on board. A month subscription is already cheaper than buying just the 2 Evolve shows a month :ehh:

That's the problem. WWE doing $9.99 a month makes sense in comparison to PPV, because PPV/cable companies took the majority of the money made on every PPV buy. With the Network, that money goes directly to WWE. Or at least the vast majority. Some probably goes to MLB for the streaming infrastructure, but the vast majority goes to WWE as opposed to PPV/cable companies, where the opposite is true. Am I to believe that indie promotions that charge $15-30 on a direct basis with consumers are going to be making the same or more as part of a collection of promotions at a $20 per month flat rate? And am I to believe that FloSports can offer more money and over all value with no user base that they offer a better deal over all than WWE? Are we to believe that FloMat is going to have a 2 million person user base? Maybe companies get slightly more money in the short term doing deals with FloMat. But they aren't going to get new viewers. Something like FloMat is going to be 100% made up of people that were already buying indie shows, but now they're going to be spending less to see way more. As opposed to WWE Network, where maybe they would get paid less, but would get such significantly more exposure world wild.

I'm 100% positive that WWE doing their career docs on people Balor gets way more exposure for IWC/Rev Pro/PROGRESS than anything FloMat is going to do.

But they aren't going to get new viewers. .
came in to say this. thats a lot of money for what basically amounts to a niche product.

after the first year they're going to plateau and they're going to be in trouble.

then wwe will buy them out :francis:

I doubt it works out long term. Too many people needing their cut of the money if they accomplish what their trying to do. They aren't getting anywhere close to the number of subs WWE Network has & WWE is the biggest company going already offering a lot for $10 less a month.

By the time Flo takes their cut from the monthly subs (to cover hosting, filming, & creating new content), their already eating in to what the companies involved get. Then it's divided up to all those companies. Seems like the companies would get a boost at the start from selling the rights or whatever but could be making a lot less as time goes on since it's a business relying on subscribers from month to month & is going to be split a bunch of different ways. At least going to the WWE Network they would probably be getting a set rights fee negotiated so they'd know they'd have a certain amount coming from it every 4 months or something. If that's how this was negotiated than Flo is probably going to be losing money & I don't know if their capable of surviving like WWE is.

lol....lmao....:laff:

why don't these indies just charge like 5.99 and stream live on youtube for their events. Nobody is tryna pay $20 a month for botches. I know it's taboo to mention around here but a fed like What Culture gets views from me because they stream free live shyt on youtube. When I'm bored on a Saturday, I'll catch it because shyt is already set up for both fans and the federation. Why these nikkas so pressed to set up they own networks thinking people gone pay out the wazoo for indy wrestling below shyt like ROH or Evolve or PWG.

$20 is too much. Out of touch with reality. People pay $10 a month to stream every song in the world (almost). Other people pay $10 a month to stream the history of American pro wrestling. Other people pay $10 a month to stream the history UFC and dozens of modern MMA promotions, plus original content. Even more other people pay $10 a month for unlimited gym access. $10 is a good number -- enough that you forget about it and don't worry too much if you are using it enough. You're gonna tell me Vanilla Midget vs. No Kneepads at Handshake Wrestling in 2016 in front of 200 people is worth twice as much as Bret Hart vs Owen Hart at Madison Square Garden?

$150 a year? So essentially $12.50 a month.
That's not bad if you keep with indy's like that. I really don't keep up as much anymore so there's not much use for this for me. :yeshrug:
