He's been even worse than usual recently. Did you see the trucker thread where he ignored every single scientific statement made in the thread (https://www.thecoli.com/posts/45151031/)? Or the latinx/defund thread ("Latinx" and "Defund the Police" Are Driving Latinos to the G.O.P.) where he claimed that democrats were the ones driving cultural issues to the forefront, and every time I pointed out that was not the case he blatantly mischaracterized my response into whatever he felt like arguing against rather than anything I'd actually said?

Put @the cac mamba on the stand in any one of these discussions and he'd look worse than MTG.
i don't recall those threads :troll:

I think Colorado is too far west. It defeats the purpose of having theme parks on both coasts. But I do think there are some decent choices on the east coast.

it isn’t just that, Florida has historically worked more with Disney than California has ever had. Walt started buying the land that became disneyworld because he was pissed with the regulations and the difficulties of working with California. Florida has the weather to stay open all year and taxes and regulations that were far lower than California’s. During the pandemic disneyworld and Disney+ kept the Disney company afloat because Newsome would not allow Disneyland to be reopened which went back on the deal they had originally struck with him. The weather in Colorado with their mountains and everything would mean the park would be open half the year at best. Meaning Disney is going to try and work with Florida.
MORE IMPORTANTLY THIS IS MEANT TO DISTRACT HOW FLORIDA IS REMOVING BLACK REPRESENTATION FROM FLORIDA’S STATE CONGRESS.

It’s good to see the usual suspects are in here celebrating ms Desantis attempts at ruining a major city in the states economy. Y’all wonder why we don’t take y’all seriously
Collateral damage... and extremely unfortunate, but schemes like this need to be abolished across the board, regardless of political implications.

Isn't a partisan take by me... IMHO corporate welfare schemes should all be undone regardless of who benefits:yeshrug:
This is just another (and more complex) version of private profits, public risk. The infrastructure and investments Disney have made were all done in order to funnel paying customers into their parks and enrich shareholders. There's nothing virtuous or commendable about their contributions to the area.
You probably oppose it honestly, but are too close to support removing it.

Politically

-It angers libs
-hurts a blue district
-energizes and play well to his base

:yeshrug:He's being a good republican politician... which should be loathed on this board.
Nothing here is amiss.

Mind you he states that a "good republican politician" bankrupts major cities in his state, lets private corporations off the hook for 2 billion in debt, and essentially punishes people for not voting for him. It's fukking fascism, and he's saying it's good. Unbelievable

I think we are way past that…
red governs for red blue governs for blue…
No one cares about the plight of the other side unless it aligns with their interest.

It is what it is…:yeshrug:
