the reason I like vote by mail is because you can take your time and research the candidates that you don't know. or the ballot measures you might not be up on.

Yeah, we normally vote by mail. We usually go by who our local independent news outlets recommend. You can find these by simply googling "*your city* voting guide" followed by the year and then choosing which ever newspaper is most familiar to you. You can always take a copy to the polling stations too though.

If voting didn't matter, there wouldn't be such tremendous efforts made to suppress participation.
