Denzel plays a pilot who successfully crash lands a plane (saving all of its passengers) but the FAA/airline begins investigating him so they can blame him for the malfunction and during the investigation a lot of dirt gets dug up on the pilot.

Seems like they added some real stories together, the pilot that landed the plane in the hudson, and then it was like 2 or 3 pilots who were caught drinking before their flights.
