If the plague regularly still exists why haven't there been some outbreaks?

There are outbreaks, happens in Madagascar and the eastern part of DRC as well as other countries on a small scale. You just don't hear about it because the bubonic plague isn't a death sentence like it was back in the day when medicine wasn't advanced.

Rodents tend to carry the fleas that carry the plague and lets be real, your average human in the city (although you're never about more than 8 feet from a Rat/Mouse in the city) isn't getting into a situation where they are engaging in direct contact with these rodents. Furthermore, living standards are much higher than they were back in the medieval age where people were cramped up like 5-7 in a one bedroom house no toilet no bath people were pissing and shytting outside. Bad hygiene along with bad living standards caused the plague to spread much faster. Them medieval weirdos were in these shytty conditions and had rats running right past em at night n shyt..

These conditions were widespread btw, poverty was rampant back then hence why it bodied London.

See back in the day you were cramped up with people so if one person catches it, all it takes is for them to cough and for you to inhale the air droplets.

Regardless, ABC is fear mongering. The bubonic plague never left it was simply controlled. Wild, small animals like Prairie dogs, Squirrels, Rats etc are known to carry the same fleas that carry the bubonic plague. If its found in Arizona then thats because the plague is endemic to that region (not all of Arizona but parts of it). You tend to find people living in them rural backwood agricultural areas most at risk of catching it. If you're living around these wild animals then you are more at risk.

There are regions of countries like Madagascar and DRC (in the east) where people are living near wild animals that carry it so they are at high risk of catching it. All it takes is a simple flea bite.
I thought this was common knowledge. I learned that around 9th grade
