I've thought about that before, but society itself lies so much I don't know what to believe about anything period, so I'm open minded.

Technically if you're a hologram that idea of a Godlike being is still very plausible. Plus, You aren't the first person to share this theory, it's even been in science journals. What makes you think this would cause pandemonium. Fundamentally nothing changes, you still have to work or you can't eat. You still have to take care of your kids, pay bills, avoid sketchy areas etc...
