My boy claimed 73. Caught him with a hacked version of the game on his jailbroken iPhone. All of the pipes were half length. A week later he was showing off 270.

Trick is to slowly tap the screen at a fixed rhythm and speed it up and slow it down if you have to move up or down, triple-tap for the high pipes and keep the beat going
