So no different than big scoring games now? If your teammates don't try to help you reach a milestone then they're horrible teammates. I saw players try to help a guy get 40 let alone get 100 anywhere near 100.

Because in a playoff scenario teams are able to specifically scheme against certain actions, while in a regular season games it's not as advantageous

After watching the game I think it’s the opposite.

Once Luka hit 65 the Hawks just face guarded him, trapped him and wouldn’t even let him shoot. Those additional 8 points he scored were the hardest 8 points of his career and he still had 8 more after that to even catch Kobe.

So how is he scoring 100 when it was mission impossible for him to get to 80?

This generation is the most sensitive era of players who live and die with social media. They can’t handle being that team being put on that summer jam screen. They’d rather give up open shots and lose the game than be put in the history books for a monumental scoring achievement.
