The epic march from Selma to Montgomery culminated in President Johnson (Tom Wilkinson) signing the Voting Rights Act of 1965, one of the most significant victories for the civil rights movement. I don't know about this movie, man. It stars a lot of really good actors and is directed/co-written by a black filmmaker but I am finding it hard to get energized about yet another movie set during this timeframe.
I'll probably end up seeing it when it comes out though.
