Taylor Sheridan's work can come off like that, but he also manages to kind of subvert expectations. It's an interesting thing to watch. Yellowstone was too much for me, after a few episodes, but I like his other movies.

The way women are written in both Sicario, WindRiver is pretty glaring too.

first season was cool and once you fall into that trap you can easily watch one or two seasons before you get really bored or maybe you see the show for what it is out the gate…but yeah the yellowstone universe is like the power universe but for rednecks
