look I been an nba fan my whole life, I have league pass been watching since early 90s

watching this "all star game championship game" this shyt is beyond awful now. Even pressed to play they dont, theres no respect for the fans. Its insane to see how pissed wemby was at the end realizing hes the only one trying and giving a shyt, its awful cuz its mostly american aau culture thats ruined this shyt

idk where they go from here, Im always the guy defending the nba saying ratings dont matter cuz nba has most social media followers and its a global game

but this shyt is BAD the wemby reaction and the end said it ALL holy shyt where have we gone? theres nothing they can do to make them compete. this is where we are at ?:hhh: :camby::deadrose:

honestly think it has to start with players

Wemby gives me hope, seein him visually upset with guys efforts matters. hes up next

outside of that I dont have a lot of answers admittedly
I'm not trying to call you out or bash you.
I think it's hard to figure out what moves to make to improve the product.

Unfortunately I don't think there's a lot the league can do about player attitudes and morale.
It might be true that money has gotten so big that players are indifferent about the All Star Game now.

But I don't know about any comments from players of past generations talking about money having an influence on their effort.

I think what's happening is that if Adam Silver and the League can't get players to increase the intensity, the only other way to affect the event is with gimmicks. So that's why we're seeing format changes and Kevin Hart and Mr. Beast and chatty patty commentators.

MLB tried giving the ASG winner home field advantage in the World Series. That didn't work out in the end, and I doubt it would go over well in the NBA.

Maybe NHL fans are right, and what the NBA needs is a global rivalry game vs Europe or South America. Basically they have to find a better gimmick.

Silver is throwing shyt against the wall but the truth is the ASG is not going to improve until the old head generation ages out . The Bron,Steph,KD generation the ones that got us to this point.. they set the tone. Nothing you can do to make them play. They were coddled and had their bullshyt justified for far too long to put your foot on em now …..like look at the shyt Bron pulled . These nikkas not close to being the best players in the game today but still run it like they in their primes .

Your only shot is the young players… the NBA needs a changing of the guard in the worst way

The nfl doesn't even have a real all-star game...who really gives a fukk :mjlol: The success of the league isn't hinged on a got damn exhibition game either way and that's the reality to fans need to grasp
Not a bad take
