Do a low pass filter on the sample to get that bassline on a separate channel, layer it, then EQ it to make it bang

I think that bass drum at the down beat is off key tho,

in most cases its the tonic, but sometimes that still won't get on pitch, especially when dealing with samples, so you will have to play around by ear

that's the thing with music, sometimes things can be off key on paper but sound right and vice versa
