First off, I'd like to thank Al Haymon...

But we gonna act like Amir wasn't influenced and Haymon couldn't have made that fight happen anyway

No, Khan was not willing to fight Devon Alexander breh....you know this. Why try and pin it on Haymon?:dwillhuh:

Im all for calling out Haymon when we need to, but that wasnt on him. Khan didnt want to fight Alexander and he wasnt even dealing with Haymon at the time.

But would you rather watch Thurman, Ortiz, and Mares against lesser opponents (as well as Charlo vs Bottai for the IBF mandatory contender shot) as undercard fights....or watch 4 fights of 3-0 Jason King vs 9-5 Horatio Paez, which is what those slots usually belong for?:mjpls:

Give me the names everyday of the week:yeshrug:
How about Thurman finally getting that step up fight that has been a year in coming?
How about Ortiz making his comeback against Berto?
I would prefer to watch these guys in competitive fights that mean something. I don't need to see them on my TV screen just to see them on my TV screen.
And why are you making it like this is some zero sum proposition where I should either be kissing Haymon's feet for putting fighters I like on this card against no names or I should be happy with Prelim Tomato Can #1 vs Prelim Tomato Can #2?
I don't like either situation. I could live with not seeing Thurman, Mares and Ortiz on this undercard, making this just a double header of Khan/Alexander and Charlo/Andrades, and get Thurman, Mares and Ortiz in matches against name comp at some point in the near future.

He's coming off a shoulder injury:sas1:

How about Ortiz making his comeback against Berto?

He needs a tune up fight first after being 1-3-1 in his last 5 fights, including losing the last 3 in a row all by KO:mjpls:

Anytime I can watch a good boxer, Im all for it...especially when I already have 2 good match ups on deck:manny:

Even the great Ali fought bums on national tv back in the days, what's wrong for fighters to jump on a card and give themselves some work to stay active, i.e. Deontay Wilder a few months back?

JCC Sr was known for fighting lesser opponents on the regular:yeshrug:

We just gonna disagree.

I honestly think HBO is going to end up having the more entertaining scraps.

The only fight that will prolly have fireworks on Showtime is #Thurminators.:blessed:

Khan/Alexander is a real 50/50 type bout, but the style clash has  written all over it.

Them Charlo nikkas stay putting me to sleep with their uninspiring ass bouts. I doubt both brothers will be exciting that night. Someone is going to produce a stinker.

Mares threw Hunter in the bushes which was a good move, but who knows what he'll look like or who he'll be fighting.

Ortiz is just :snoop::mjlol: status right now.

At the end of the day, I just hope both cards deliver the goods. :manny:

Khan was willing to fight Devon.. You dont remember the fight was almost finalized, but then Khan suddenly backed out.. That nikka was advised to do that shyt.. and he was promised a Floyd fight by someone if he fell back and didn't risk the loss... I believe it was Al Satan.. the fight would never have got that close if Khan didn't want any parts of Devon.. They wouldn't be fighting now. You have to think about that..

And as far as Khan not dealing with Haymon yet :usure: Look at Chaves. he just signed with Al, but anyone with common sense knows Al was in Chavez ear LONG before he signed him

Haymon was involved with fukking that fight up last year breh. He didn't want one of Floyd potential opponents to risk taking an L. I may not be able to prove it, but in my gut I know it to be the case

Breh, Im not gonna guess and blame Haymon, just because. Fact is, we know Khan pulled out of that fight and Floyd asked him to produce something from anyone (which Khan said he signed) showing that he was gonna get Mayweather...and Khan couldnt do it, which means he lied and we ALL know Khan is always lying. Besides, Haymon was already Alexander's advisor at the time....why would he stop Khan from fighting Alexander when he worked for Alexander and it would've been one of the biggest checks Alexander ever received?:dwillhuh:

Khan didnt want the fight last year, because he would've been jumping up to 147 and, in his 1st fight at the new weight, taking on Devon Alexander who is not a slouch at all. Khan knows that was a huge risk so he backed down. At THIS time, Khan has already fought at 147, feels good at the weight, and is willing to take the chance, because he knows Floyd is leaving after his September bout, and Khan wants to cash out before Floyd retires.

That's my opinion on the situation.
