The score overall was great too although the main "tune" painfully exposes Justin Hurwitz' limitations as one can hear every shade of his La La Land score in it.
you can say this about most composers. take john williams for example. There are a metric-fukk-ton of similar melodies between his theme for home alone, harry potter & rey's theme from TFA and plenty of his other scores as well.

Visually amazing, I felt the daughter stuff but thw combo of his fam and then all the NASA shyt on top and the detailed launches etc made it a bit too long.

Could've used one more editing round.

Good movie tho, not fukking with La La Land.

I wish this were 30 minutes longer. I wanted more political stuff, particularly after the Grissom death.

That's just picky tho.

One the year's best films. Very happy to have seen it in IMAX

This movie was sadly generic af
Wanted to be Apollo 13 with today’s technology. It doesn’t come close to it. Yea sure the imax shuttle sequences were intense but literally nothing else clicked. It’s not Chazelles fault, it’s difficult to make a captivating story around Neil Armstrong. He was such an nerd introvert close to the chest individual that if it weren’t for landing on the moon he would be just another smart nasa wizard that lives a nice boring family life. Gosling did great with not a lot to work with. I wanted this movie to work. But it just didn’t...liftoff :sas1:
