I'll watch this. So far Fassbender hasn't really let me down with his choice in movie rolls
Also I only liked the Assassin's Creed 2 trilogy. They dropped the hell out of the present day storyline tho

Keep in mind, Hollywood buys up properties left and right just off the chance that they want to make them in the future. I believe that Mass Effect got bought awhile ago but nothing ever came from it. Same with Bioshock. Cliffy B had meetings about Gears of War. Etc etc etc. If a film doesn't have a release date or film schedule, don't consider it set in stone.
Ubisoft seems more serious about this. I remember reading years ago about how they are really trying to make their game properties into film franchises.

They are. It's set in spain. It will be the same universe though, which overall has a stupid story.

I'm pretty sure they're going to ignore all the present day Illuminati bullshyt with Desmond and the Animus and just be a story about the covert war between the Assassins and the Knight Templars centuries ago.
