The problem with turning Becky heel is that she has one of the most sympathetic stories as a character, which means there's literally no reason for the fans to turn against. The audience understands and sympathizes with her.

Further, the fans have NEVER liked Charlotte as much as the company wants them to. You could make a solid argument she's the least popular of the 4HW. She was absolutely the wrong person too have Becky turn on even if the are best friends, especially in the storyline they did it in.
