Depends. I can understand why someone would feel that way, but one must dig a little deeper as to how it actually happened that those presidents took a white woman as wife. And how many of them, over the whole continent, are we actually talking about anyway? in CAR history for example, none if I'm not mistaken.

Can't answer to your comparison with the English monarchy because Royal families all over Europe have olden rules of who can marry who, and most of it is among a couple of olden European royalty. As soon as a Prince or Princess maries outside those circles (regardless of who it acually is) it seems they usually lose their status.
