Here is the official synopsis:

In a world where superheroes have been real for decades, an underdog accountant with zero powers comes to realize his city is owned by a global super villain long-thought dead. As he struggles to uncover this conspiracy, he falls in league with a strange blue superhero. The Tick stars Peter Serafinowicz (Guardians of the Galaxy), Griffin Newman (Vinyl), Jackie Earle Haley (Watchmen), Valorie Curry (House of Lies), Yara Martinez (Jane the Virgin) and Brendan Hines (Scorpion). The Tick is executive produced by Ben Edlund (Supernatural), Barry Josephson (Bones) and Barry Sonnenfeld (A Series of Unfortunate Events), directed by Wally Pfister (The Dark Knight), and written by Edlund. The Tick is a co-production with Sony Pictures Television.

This series is unconnected to Fox's short-lived live-action The Tick series from 2001 starring Patrick Warburton.

Looks a little diminutive to be the tick, wish they'd just do another animated series
Peter Serafinowicz is actually 6'5.
ANd that suit has way too much texture and the blue is too washed out. They should have just gone for smooth royal blue like in the old live-action TV show:

the character must hav some kinda cult following. even as a kid, i remember being pretty indifferent about the cartoon and then the live action show...is the suit supposed to look bad?
lol some things just shouldn't be translated to live action

maybe they'll add visual FX to the suit post-roduction? it does look a little ridiculous, might look less ridiculous on film but I dunno. the writing is going to have to be top notch on this show for it to not be terrible
