i decided i'd try my hand at this beatmakin shyt so i downloaded fl studio and a couple kits

this shyt was inspired by The Motto, Rack City, Slight Work and shyt like that
its my first time so go easy on a beginner

I'll tell you this: it's about wun hunit times better than my first beat. The thing is, these days, if some producer getting 50 stacks a track made this I wouldn't think twice. These are the types of beats that knock in the club and what not. Sure, you could use a bit more change ups and add a bass line, either another light melody or a harmony to go with whatever synth sound that is but, again, this is your first crack. Keep at it, papo.

add a bassline and maybe some buildup and somebody will want to hop on this, this is the style of production thats in these days so keep at it.

you have to use a program like soundforge, protools or cool edit to import an mp3 or wav or whatever, take the element, voice or sample you want, loop it or sample it within those programs. i used to use recycle alot to coordinate with my mpc but there is no one way to do it/

yup throw the sample back in and the hi hats can be used for the chorus I'm listening to this on my laptop speakers I don't know if you have a bassline or not, as much as I can't stand her I hear Nicki Minaj over this and the club going nuts. Stay true to you and you should have no problems making beats.
