I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
Remember when Tamina kicked Nikki Bella's teeth into the second row?

That was in 2013, and I bet that she's still feeling that one today.

Lord. Yeah, see I know I'd be slurring like a drunk at last call but I'd have to wear a mouth guard like I was in the NHL.

Out of curiosity, how do they avoid kicking teeth out when they do super kicks or kicks to the face? Sometimes you can hear them bad boys and the impact sounds legit af.

That sound you hear is them slapping their thigh. A good super kick draws back just at impact and has the same effect as if you mushed somebody in the face. It’s all sell.

The kicker slaps the leg and the recipient takes the hit on the hands, arms or upper chest if you bow your head down. Or if the timing is really good, you walk towards the in coming kick and then bump without actually getting hit.

That is actually really cool. The more I learn about how you're *supposed* to do these moves the more I realize why people who are considered safe workers get so much praise from their peers.

So a botch is always on the person doing the kicking then?

Yup. You will notice the best workers throw real looking and impactful moves, but are still in total control of their body.

Yes. The kick thrower should be able to retract their leg at any time when they are close to the target to prevent impact.

Here is an example of Carmella throwing a perfect kick, keeping eye contact on her target, and hitting just below the chin on the chest. But scan through the video to see her standing one with no lunge like the Young Buck/HBK version. Because you're stationary, it's really hard to buffer impact. You will often see this move either look like it hit a foot away from the target, or it will completely take someone's head off. Followed is the infamous Goldberg injury to Bret, same move.
