:whoa: It's early. This is a flatout ass-whooping, but there's plenty of time to bounce back from this.

Pastern is OK. Hang in there, my Memphis brehs ... this our year.

Pastner is 0-12 against the AP top 25, and while the AAC isn't he Big East he was expecting to be joining, 2x games against Louisville, UConn, and Cincy is tougher than what he was dealing with in the CUSA. Memph will beat up on the bottom of the conference like they were doing in CUSA, but I actually need to see him beat a quality team first before I believe it will happen.

I hear you. That 0-12 is awful, but I'm not giving up just yet. This is the best team he's had yet IMO, I want to see how he does Big East's big opponents before I'm calling for his head. One early-season game against OK State isn't going to make me think of him less than I do.

That being said, I wanted this primetime ESPN win :to:

JOE COULD STILL BE KING OF MEMPHIS.

Low-key, I didn't have a college basketball team (since PSU is usually nothing special at all, I mean I still follow them closely, but I need a team to pull for in March). But those last two Calipari teams in 07/08/09 had me :banderas: watching Memphis.

Then this hype about Joe Jackson "King of Memphis" coming to town got me fully hitched to the bandwagon. I'm not giving up on KOM. I can't :to:

those same teams got me interested in memphis as a young buck in atl :banderas: outside of family ties

if joe wasn't KOM by his junior year is was never meant to be :snoop:

Once Louisville leaves for the ACC, that American Conference is gonna be a three team race between Memphis, UConn and Cincinnati every year. Memphis is gonna keep racking up 25-30 win seasons, getting a 4-7 seed in the NCAA tournament, and losing in the second round. Pasner is a garbage coach, but I doubt there's many other coaches they can bring in to replace him that'll do better. AAC is a struggle conference. No A List coach is trying to go there. Thank God we only gotta be in that shythole for one season.

you forget about temple?

the American isn't a bad conference for basketball. a 4 or 5 bid league.

and they keep talking about how SMU is on the come-up.
