He has 2 more years left on his current contract..& tech is paying a 10 million dollar buyout to the football coach they fired in the middle of the season a few months ago. I doubt Pastner gets fired while he’s under contract.
They’ve had to pay huge buyouts to the last two basketball coaches I doubt they wanna do that again.
I had high hopes for Pastner man smh. Charismatic young-ish coach in Atlanta with the history the Tech basketball program has..shyt should have been a layup for him to keep some of the elite talent in state. Instead Auburn gets most of the elite prep players in Georgia. nikkas would even rather go to Ohio State than to hoop for GT & UGA

Besides Ant Edwards no elite GA high school player have signed with Tech or UGA in a while..& idk how the fukk UGA convinced Ant to go there. He knew he was a 1 & done so he probably didn’t give a fukk where he went.

No way top Georgia players should be going to Ohio State or Ole Miss for basketball.
It's surprising because Pastner was able to keep all of the top Memphis talent to stay at home.
I think folks has realized that he isn't a good coach.

I hope they do something about getting some easier classes for athletes. As an alum, if my kids grow up to be athletically inclined, I would recommend they DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER attending GT.

This forthcoming UGA dynasty can be attributed to having absolutely no in state competition for athletes and they know it.
