And I remember telling you that long term it was dumb, and in the end I will be right :tbn:

Just can't admit you were wrong?

Barring a career crippling injury, how are they better off without Lowry at $12 mill/4years? You said Lowry wouldn't keep up his contract year play and was a one year wonder. Ignoring what he did in Houston.

:wtf:

How am I wrong when the entire premise of my argument was that it was a stupid LONG TERM move and you're @'ing me after 6 games into the first year of his deal? Breh, I told you the Nets would beat the Raptors before the series, you argued with me that the Raptors would win, you were wrong. Check my history, I always admit when I'm wrong, that's why people still take my opinion seriously because I have no prob admitting it. But this? Nah...I know what's going to happen here.

:dead: @ Barring a career crippling injury, he's only 6'0" and about to be 29, it's not going to take some horrific destruction to his body for him to start to lose value. At the position he plays, it only takes losing 1 step....1.

A four year deal to a 28 year old pg. Point guards don't fall off and die at 30-31. If he was 35, I would understand your point. To his credit he dropped weight , which will lengthen his career.

Instead of the Raptors competing in the East (look like a top 3 team), you would rather them lose Lowry and suck? They wouldn't suck enough for a top pick. Would have to overpay a pg of all-star talent level to come to a bad team. You just really underrate Lowry.

Fam, I made a thread on PGs and asking if they are even worth the max, you really think I'm gonna be high fiving yall for locking Lowry into a deal? And where are all these really good 30+ year old 6'0" PGs?

I would have rather seen yall pick up someone from last years draft, I keep saying over and over that I think your fanbase is great and want to see yall have LONG TERM success. You have some gaping holes in your roster (SF & PF) and realistically you're not going to fill them without the draft, getting free agents to go to TO is going to be difficult and the assets you do have aren't that great, so where is the improvement going to come from that's going to sustain you in the "top 3" as the east improves?

I underrate almost every PG, really the only exceptions for me are scoring PGs, can you say with a straight face that Lowry is a top 15 player in the league? You're essentially building around him as though he's an elite player and he's not, he's good but not elite.

Your PER been off the charts lately, may need to be tested for peds :lupe:

I'm thinking about making a late run for #WOAT

:lupe:

"Should the Spurs think about releasing Kawhi after his slow start?"

"Klay is only good now because of his facial hair"

"SOHH we all agree that Tony Wroten is the MVP..."

I gotta get to work :wow:

I'm probably gonna look like a biased idiot for this....but Are Duncan or Tony Parker better than any of the players listed? fukk the wins, legacy and all that other shyt...you have one player to start a team with as your star...are you choosing Parker or Duncan over anybody listed?

When the Piston's won the championship, were any of them "top 15" players?

So, you just gonna leave M. Gasol, Noah, Wall, Wesson and Dirk off the list, Lowry is better than them to you? As for Duncan, on a per minute basis he's still one of the best players in the league, as in his PER this year and last year is higher than Lowry's. No, I'm not taking them over those guys listed mainly because of their age, but you have no problem taking Lowry over Irving & Wall, even though he's much older than them? You'd rather build around Lowry than Marc Gasol?

The Pistons aren't a good example to use, considering they had a complete starting 5 and a very deep bench. The Raps have holes at the 3 and 4, you're not going to do much with Amir as your PF, and Ross needs to take the next step already.

Your plan is to let Lowry walk and then they have to fill the pg hole created also. How do they do that, and improve sf, pf? Magically hit high on 3 first round picks in the 15th pick range? Or trade Derozan and blow it up? Ownership would love this. City is rallying around a team and bringing in tons of money but let's blow it up.

Don't think he was ranking Lowry 15th. Showing the Spurs won without building around a top 15 player.

No, I would have traded him last year, you know....when everyone was saying to trade him :yeshrug:

Again, how are you going to improve moving forward? Masai traded Gay and couldn't even get a 2nd round pick thrown in, where are the assets to trade for better players? Unless you plan of hitting a homerun in FA, how are you going to improve with picks in the 23-26 range.

I don't get how you can look at the East and not see teams loading up and improving and see how that will project towards your own success in a year or two.

Statistically, the Spurs had 1 top 20 player, 1 top 40 player and 1 top 50 player, the Raptors had only 1 of any of those last year and 1 of those this year.
