The thing is that we need to be bad enough to draft a superstar player. We won't get one through a trade and definitely not through free agency, and that is the one big piece this team is missing. This is a team full of good role players, but no true No. 1 option.

We're gonna need an upgrade to the frontcourt in the summer. Amir is finished and Patterson is a bench player. A starting 4 is top of the list.

Nah fam, Philly is going to have a Milwaukee type jump next season if Embiid is healthy, their entire team right now is built around having a center. They have several players now that shoot a ton of 3 pointers, Canaan, Thompson, Covington and Grant are all the type of players you put around a big man that plays in the post, their defense right now is pretty good it's their offense that is missing the piece.
Milwaukee is going to be good again, and Orlando is on the verge of being good, with the right coach they will see a big jump, especially since they could end up with Towns.

East is pretty weak and the Knicks have like 40 mil in cap space this summer plus a top 4 pick guaranteed...they can easily become a good team in the East.
And @Malta covered it, all of the other young teams in the East except BK and maybe Boston have a lot of dynamic young talent and are coached well.

They won't make the playoffs, but they won't be an easy team to beat, look at the Jazz right now with Gobert in their lineup they are giving teams all they can handle.
