Good win and a great game for Derozan, beating Philly is nothing to get too excited about but they needed this and Demar needed a showing like that. Hopefully they can get a lil momentum going.

How did Valanciunas only have 2 FGA ? Thats crazy,i know his offensive game is incredibly pedestrian but as a rule we need to be going inside out alot more,this offense of just letting our guards hoist as many shots/bricks is as shytty to watch as it is ineffective..

I think Casey kinda freezes him out because he doesn't like his defense or something , because it makes no sense at all. He's 5th in the NBA in fg % and averages more shots than anyone else in the top 5.
Its insane how little he's featured in our offense, my only guess is that like I said, Casey hates his d and doesn't wanna reward him with touches

Even if you dont like his offense,just as a way of moving the ball and not looking so predictable....Were not going far with our guards shooting sub 40 % and dominating the ball iso...thats losing basketball...
We need to use him as post facilitator and get guys moving off the ball....I hate what the offense has become.
I agree he has a bad habit of getting stripped cuz he holds the ball low but hes no more turnover prone than our SG who gets as many iso shots as he wants....

i dunno how every toronto sports team manages to start seasons off so well, gets it's fanbase amped up and give them high expectations, only to inevitably end up disappointing everybody.
the thing is, even with them coming crashing back down to earth, it's very possible this team could still make the 2nd round. and if they do, casey and our core ain't going anywhere anytime soon.

Exactly what im saying its almost imperative this team loses in the first round....If this team were to somehow get to the ECF,Masai might think Casey deserves an extension or that this core might be alright going forward....
Hate to say this but a quick and brutal exit would probably put the kabosh on Casey and thats the beginning of what we need...

i know people hate casey (and i'm hardly a fan either) but we have a real talent issue and that's as much of a problem as anything else.
You cant understate the coaching issue,itd 1A and 1B
Casey is as much of a problem as anything with this team....When a coach has no offensive game plan or strategy,has no clue how to use matchups,use his bench properly,call timeouts,make in game adjustments or hold anyone accountable thats about a big a problem as you can have...
Great coach can win with lesser talent...
