of course its a failure :

we're the only division winner going fishing right now

we're the team that is added to the 20% that couldnt close out game 7 at home

we underachieved against BK; no way we should have lost, no way it should have gone 7

we had an opportunity to really put ourselves on the map (national TV coverage, bouncing the vets with playoff experience), but didnt capitalize

yeah maybe we beat the "street expectations", but so what; what have we gained? Playoff experience at least JV had a mini spurt of potential

Kyle is not guaranteed to come back, and I wouldnt agree with a max contract
TR is just
DD so damn inconsistent, biggest game of your life and you take the first 24mins off
Amir he's 2nd option of the bench at most
Casey - dont get me started; contract expired, good (I know he'll get resigned, unless Masai pulls the on us)

If the Raps do one thing this offseason, bring in a new coach

Like i said for me worst thing about all this is we proved all the doubters,haters,ESPN fakkits right...the people that bet against us,shyt on us,say we cant win,we cant beat nobody...we have to concede therew right AGAIN..it gets so tiring defending this team and they never pull through when it counts....I wanted them to win so all these hating ass fakkits everywhere could eat a dikk and be on that humble shyt but NOOOOOOPE

this team wouldnt allow us to eat for once....Raptors never prove the haters wrong,its cot damn frustrating...

IM tired of these feel good stories about this seasons overachieving success...It stinks to listen to all the fake praise coming from everyone about the city and square and what a hostile environment the ACC is...losers praise,,how competitive we are and what a special tight knit team we are

i dont really mind casey staying, its only a 3 year deal he messes up he gets fired without that long of a term left on his contract.

this is a franchise that kept kevin oneill, jay triano, etc. for yaears

casey tied a franchise high for wins, and the players loved him so eh, im sure masai had pressure from the board as well to keep him

after that second round ish, giving jyd 7 years 49 mill, antonio davis a big deal, alvin williams and mo peete big money

and we all know even if they have to overpay they are bringing back lowry, lowry will be the hottest selling raptors jersey next year, hes a family man, hes gritty hes the lunch pail darcy tucker brett lawrie type guy we're all used to plus already lowry is the second best pg in all 20 years of being a raptors fan

all the Raps were missing was a defensive presence at the 3 that wasn't a total liability on the offensive end. if BC just signed Wilson Chandler when he came back from China, the Nets would've been put down in 5 or 6.

but at the same time; there was like a 1% chance he wasnt staying

there are other moves that need to be made:

• need true PF or a more dominant post player to complement JV (Amir...)
• i'm on the fence with Kyle - dont think hes a max player, dont think any team is willing to give him the max (someone correct me if I'm wrong), so hopefully we can leverage that into a 5 year 40
• Salmons, Fields - not up on their contracts (ie. when we can get rid of them minimizing $$$ loss), but they gotta go

This year being an anomaly in the East - next year is going to be lot different (Hawks, more confident and more importantly healthy; Wiz , them boys gonna be good; Cats - gotta young tough and good core; Bulls - but still a Thibs coached team with talent). I think we still contend for the division, but I'm not for one and dones
