I've never been a Cashman fan he rode the coattails of Watson and Michaels then when George died he started getting a big head () George would've never let him talk to Jeter or Arod in the press the way he did let's not forget the Fatal Attraction thing he had. Hal is not like his father the day to day operations should've went to Hank and Hal takes care of the financial side it's like Hal has no balls he should've fired Cashman and his fellow analytics nerds after last season. How you don't get Castillo but trade Montgomery and whiff at the last minute on Lopez when in the old days George would've gotten Lopez first then traded Montgomery. You seeing all these teams calling up there top guys but you're sitting on your hands to manipulate their service time

On a side note the only reason why the Yankees still have this winning record streak is because of Girardi.Cashman left him with an aging roster no notable young free agent signings Girardi decided to start the young guys (Judge,Bird,Sanchez) and the Yankees where in it until the last week of the season in 2016. If living on the past laurels was a GM it's Brian Cashman
