I think only core "Star Trek" fans are bothered by that. I'm not a "Star Trek" fan other than these current J.J. Abrams/Bad Robot-produced movies, so I never had a problem with Alice Eve's fine-ass being heavily promoted for the movie & the studio trying to appeal to a mainstream audience.

Never seen "Wrath of Khan", so I looked forward to "Into Darkness" being a remix of it (since "Wrath of Khan" is always referenced in pop culture) & the movie delivered.

Yeah it bothered me. Not her character but the movie being a remix of khan without earning anything at all. Still like it but it's definitely fallen in my estimation in the years since its release. In retrospect it's lazy storytelling

Nah, the thing is she simply outgrew the need for a "sexy" image. All these young upcoming actresses flaunt their looks/sexiness to stay relevant until their name is established enough that they can leave that shyt behind.
