I don't post much, but I felt compelled to do so because the energy that was resonating from this section. Shout out again to @cook coke crack & @Brooklynzson for organizing this in such a manner where there wasn't any pitfalls or setbacks that caused this tourney to not be completed. More importantly, :salute: for the brainchild that was this tourney. Otherwise, the talent that these dudes have, would've possibly remained their own secret.s

Of course shout out to ALL of the emcees who took their time to participate in this and took it seriously. As an observer, it made me listen to everything with a more critical ear, so I could try to catch everything, and I'm a legit fan of a lot you guys music now.

@smARTmouf speaking as a Bulls breh, remain in lyrical fitness just in case the Bulls don't improve this garbage ass team over the summer like they're suppose to do. You may need to drop that Ether on the entire Bulls' front office and mail that shyt to em anthrax style.

Shout out @ThiefyPoo and @MurdaMa$$ for setting the precedent for donating, which led to me following suit.

Now I'm looking forward to The Coli mixtape with the same amount of anticipation that I did with these battles. Watching Coli Voltron assemble with all of the tourney emcees, should be a sight to behold :banderas:

I have a couple suggestions for the next tourney.

1. Use the outcome from this tourney to help seed the next one in case a lot of the MC's from the 1st tourney show up. For example, the guys that made the final four (if they all join the next one) should not be gunning at each other's necks early in the tourney.

2. Make the brackets visible. It will help with anticipation and make it more clearer who your next opponent may be. There were times I would try to predict who I would face next based on the matchups posted and I was completely off. Seemed random at times to me. It didn't mess with my preparation or anything but just imagine the nba not having visible brackets for viewers and competitors.

This is a dope site for brackets

Challonge-Tournament Brackets - Single & Double Elimination, Round Robin, Swiss

3. Set time limits for tracks so that someone doesn't pull some lazy shyt and show up with a 30 sec verse against a 4 min track. I saw it happen a few times. If dudes aren't serious about putting in work make it clear to them to not sign up and waste anyone's time.

4. Tracks should be uploaded at a certain time (I was guilty of being late every time lol) and sent via PM to the thread starter (@cook) who will post both tracks in the OP to prevent someone from getting the upper hand with rebuttals or prep time (no batman). We did this in the beat tourneys and it worked out great.

5. Voting process could be a bit more detailed. There could be a format for voting and replies that each person could follow to make it easier for ppl to leave feedback instead of voting without saying a word.

Best flow:
Best bars:
Best beat:
Final thoughts:

I think a lot of ppl were either too lazy or didn't know how to leave proper feedback so a lot of battles would end up with a high number of votes but barely any real feedback for the MC's that could have benefited them in later rounds.

We used that site for the brackets.

Time & Number 4 is a good idea.
