reception not bad at all, it has an 84 Metacritic. I know some folks expected 90+ but honestly the stuff the game was going through the writing was on the wall.
This game feels more like a WRPG so far. The two aren't similar at all in most ways.

We're in a weird time with game reviews. So many AAA titles were getting 10s and 9.5s that having anything below a 9 is seen as mediocre. Back in the day an 8 or 8.5 game would be damned good territory. Now if a game gets an 8 it's almost written off. Crazy.

Exactly. Gamers don't respect a 84. it's unfortunate. And to be honest I think it deserved higher

the minimap keeps rotating making it super confusing, use the minimap + r3 to make it easier. Also use casual clothes during dungeons because most of the monsters use status effects, casual clothes stop all that shyt for the most part. Turn it off just during the dungeons tho

Man this shyt just didn't the dumbest shyt. I'm assuming it's a glitch. It was dark so i did the return to last rest area. Ok cool. So I wake up and the car somehow got left where I was last at 4.32 miles away I'm bout to reload it no way I'm walking that shyt

The scale is anything below a 7 is bad. 7 is average 8 is good but not great and 9 and above are great.

It's not that a game getting an 8 is written off it's that a game like this getting an 8 is written off.

Square to me is Kanye West. They've changed and they can never go back to who the fans fell in love with. They can't even relate to who that was anymore. Modern Square just doesn't have it in them to make an almost universally beloved Final Fantasy.

I looked at Prompto's health and he is in the 200s.

I've only played 2 hours and must say I've never played a FF like this before. Slightly reminds me of Oblivion.

I think they did a poor job explaining the combat system, they didn't even mention guard cancelling. Oh that camera is bad. During the tutorial anytime I was close to a wall or pillar I couldn't see anything.

The lock-on is weird. Is there a way to manoeuvre through different targets?

I had to buy that double accessory node on the sphere grid and put a couple of HP boosters on him. He was always the first to fold up in battle. Now it's Ignis for me.
