Not for me it doesn't.
I've played through garbage games before.
I've also played through garbage games but I've never invested myself into a 40-50 hour long game and finished it then called it garbage either. If a game is good enough to finish that says all that needs to be said. It was acceptable.

I feel like Mass Effect Andromeda was trash. At about 25 hours I dropped it for other games and I never returned to it and I never will. I'm not even interested enough in the game to bother finishing it. Feel the same about Dragon Age Inquisition another game I dropped. People generally don't force themselves through unpleasant entertainment experiences when they don't have to unless they're on the shorter side.

XV wasn't my favorite in the series but when I have to sum it up outside of my complaints about how the story was handled I don't have many issues with it. It could have been much better but it also could have been much worse.

The only game I can say I invested a lot of time into that I didnt like was Final Fantasy 8 and kingdom hearts, but those were games that I used to like when I was young.

They need to come back to their roots and have a "regular" turnbased game, cool cast, no dlc.
I think the combat system needs a few tweaks. They should scrap that bullshyt magic as an item and just do it like KH does and have it as a context menu and make it selectable during battle.

There's a ton of things they could have done to make this game stand out.
I went through everything at length in this thread when i first play through it.

Magic was virtually pointless/useless
Summons were handled terribly
Combat was far too easy due to a way too forgiving healing system. You could spam attacks and right when your health is low, heal regardless of any damage you're taking. There should have been some sort of stagger mechanic where if you got hit while healing, the healing would stop.
The story was pushed way too far in the background. The game plays like an MMO with light story content sprinkled in which is a major shame because the story actually had a ton of potential.
No memorable enemies or boss fights
I would have liked to see some cool armor variations instead of different corny emo outfits.

The Aranea and final boss fight and even Ifrit were all great boss fights. Aranea in particular was probably the best fight in the game.

As Tabata said, the team is currently squeezing out every available second to complete the game. He then asked PC gamers to wait a bit longer and confirmed that the Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition was built from the ground up just for the PC, and that – as a result of that – it is a generation ahead of what Square Enix delivered on consoles.

Final Fantasy XV will be released on March 6th. It will receive a simultaneous worldwide release, meaning that the actual time will vary depending on your timezone.
Should I wait for March 6th to play this on PC or should I just finish it on PS4? I'm on Chapter 5.

Edit: Think I'll pass. Seems like PR Speak lol.

Just bring back the medieval times-like theme.

Could still have things like airships, and other futuristic-looking gadgets, but still keep knights, ninjas, wizards and characters like that.

No. Fantasy cannot be contained to medieval times
