Gonna go with its not a mainline entry and it's its own series. Very much apples and oranges.

Because, otherwise there's no fair way of winning that debate on the internet where snobbery reigns supreme.

Final Fantasy 6 could have a baby with Final Fantasy 7 that was raised by Final Fantasy 9 and it wouldn't matter.
