While The Witch and The Lobster are good films they are from early 2015. In fact in two days it will have been two years since The Witch came out. We play by release year rules, not the Oscar rules.

Any list with those films with those films will not be counted

EDIT: Since people forgot how years work The Witch and The Lobster (and others) will be counted.

You know how this goes.

Put your top 10 fav. movies of last year in a list.

1. XXXXX - gets 10 points
2. XXXXX - gets 9 points
and so on until 10

Any posts without 10 films will not be counted.
Any posts without numbering will not be counted.

Lists will be counted on 25th of february (last day of voting) and will made public the next day before the Oscars start.

My list will be put her on the 25th of february since I've got alot of films to watch.

2016 in film - Wikipedia of course there have been more films but this is a good place to start if you mostly watch US films

@hex can I get a sticky?

Guess you can't vote then homie. Either that or you just do a crazy catch up
Well I did watch three 2016 movies just on Sunday...

Is it alright if I create a post with my current rankings and then fill in as I see movies? If I don't reach 10 then so be it...

Incomplete list. Saw more than I thought. Didn't realize most of them were 2016s. Don't go to the theater much at all so easy to forget what year a movie came out in. Literally Rogue One and Deadpool are the only two on the list I saw in a theater. Will be watching a few more b.ecause #5-10 were alright but have no business being on my top 10 list
  1. La La Land
  2. Moonlight
  3. OJ Made in America
  4. Arrival
  5. Manchester by the Sea
  6. The Witch
  7. Rogue One
  8. Midnight Special
  9. The Fundamental of Caring
  10. 10 Cloverfield Land

Is OJ: Made in America eligible to be counted as a film? The Academy is counting it as a single documentary film for their voting.

That changes my top 10 (and probably the lists here as well) if we're going to count it too.
